GLoGgies 2025 Nominations
I spent most of the year lurking, not wanting to touch my own blog, so naturally I read a fair bit. Let's do this!
Best Dungeon Post - INTERSECT BINARY WAVES on Archon's Court. This is the only BCS scenario I remember seeing this year, so it automatically wins. A tight, focused, no-frills deathride.
Best Class Post - Pupating Dwarf on the Furtive Goblin's Burrow. This one conjures two images I love; that of any kind of weird dwarf, and that of pupae!
Best Monster Post - Red Apes/Returner Demons on Garamondia. I re-read this post every now and then. That's how you know it's good.
Best Rules Post - Resolving Intrigue with Otherkind Dice on Mediums & Messages. I've loved this mechanic since I first read Otherkind but this is THE implementation for adventure games, I think. Big points for some cross-pollination from one scene to another!
Best Lore Post - Consumerism, Consume Me on the Nothic's Eye. After running 30-odd sessions of a game shockingly like the setting described here, I was floored by the execution. "It's a vibe" - Me.
Best Theory Post - Wildernesscrawl Notes on Whose Measure God Could Not Take. Breaking down big overland areas into natural paths, funnels, and DOORS is one of the rare few ideas from the blogosphere I implemented in a home game!
Best Other Post - Vibechete! Play Report on Archon's Court. This one is on here for one single reason and that is the screengrab that says "killing you with my mind", which I have been quoting in my real life pretty much all year. Points!
Overall, I think it was a great year for the GLOGosphere. Every one of these categories has many contenders in my mind. Here's to another great year, folks!
